Introduction

We are a small four acre family farm in Marana Arizona. On our farm we grow vegetables, have a small orchard getting started, raise pigs, bore goats, Dairy goats, club lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and pigeons.  I am Moe (ChickenMoe), I have always wanted to be farmer for as long as I can remember, so this journey is truly a dream come true for me. My wife Tina is my best friend and partner in this enterprise. She brings that female touch to our market displays, and always goes that little extra step that I would have skipped just to make sure that our customers get the best possible product. Together with our four child we embark on this journey.

We started this farm to put good quality healthy food on our family’s table. Over the years several people have asked us if we ever sold our products, or have encouraged us to start a blog to share our knowledge with others.  Back then the time was just not right for us, but about three years ago god blessed us with the opportunity to purchase our little four acres of heaven here in Marana. It was just a home and land when we bought it, but we have built it up with our own hands and love. We are now at a point where we feel God has blessed us with the ability to bless others. It is important to our family to eat local and real food whenever possible. We are fortunate enough to raise a lot of our food ourselves however we know that this is not an option for everyone. We offer our extra products at a farmers market every Sunday. Everything we take to market is raised just like the food on our table because we believe that your family deserves the same kind of quality. All of our produce is raised using organic practices, and all our animals are raised and harvested humanely.

We hope you enjoy our blog, and hope you find it entertaining as well as informative. I must warn you that we by no means see ourselves as experts. We are just sharing our adventure in to farming with you. We will tell you what has worked for us and what has not. Growing in the southern Arizona desert is challenging, and it is hard to find blogs that deal with issues we face here. It is our hope fill this need for you.

Thank you for your time,

ChickenMoe’s Family Farm
